Effects of Astragalus Polysaccharide Diluent on the Immune Efficacy of
Swine Fever Vaccine

Abstract: To study the immune enhancement effects of Astragalus Polysaccharides dilution on swine fever vac-
cine, 60 weaned piglets were randomly divided into 2 groups (control group and astragalus polysaccharide group),
control group and astragalus polysaccharide group were respectively inoculated with sterile saline and astragalus
polysaccharide dilution of swine fever vaccine. Results showed that in 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th day after vaccination,
swine fever antibody titer (log2)of Astragalus polysaccharide group were respectively increased by 5.3%(P>0.05),
9.8%(P<0.05), 14%(P<0.05) and 14.2%(P<0.05), compared with the control group. The results showed that the
swine fever vaccine with astragalus polysaccharide diluent can significantly improve the antibody level after swine
fever vaccine immunization, and enhance the immune efficacy of classical swine fever vaccine.
