Research of Passive Immunity Periods of Goose Parvovirus Yolk Antibodies

Abstract: 3 batches of the goose parvovirus yolk antibodies were produced in laboratory with the titer of AGAR
diffusion test 1:16. The experiment groups were injected with 0.5ml goose parvovirus yolk antibodies for goslings
that were 1 and 3 days of age. After 1、3、5 and 7 days, the experiment groups and the control groups were both at-
tacked with goose parvovirus. The results showed that for 1 day goslings, the virus attack protection was 96.67% af-
ter 1 day, it was 100% after 3 days, it was 86.67% after 5 days, it was 76.67% after 7 days; and for 3 days goslings, the
virus attack protection was 100% after 1 day, it was 96.67% after 3 days, it was 86.67% after 5 days, it was 80% after
7 days. In case of protective rate more than 80%, the research was determined that passive immunity period of goose
parvovirus yolk antibodies was five days. As the extension of time, the protection of goslings was weakened.
